Anthropological cybernetic model of migration among three regions of the Island of Hvar
By mobility and migration human beings expand the speces formed by their society and culture. At the same time, the process of migration shapes the "space" of the genetic composition of population through the balance between gene flow and genetic drift. In the previously published papers it has been shown that through the elaboration of migration data it is in the possible to estimate inbreeding and kinship coefficients between studied rural communities The data obtained call for a more specific consideration of the sociocultural factors in order to better understand the known migartion modifying factors (distances between settlements). Intentions of the present investigation are twofold: a) to apply a cybernetic model in description of migration data on the island of Hvar, and b) to underline specificity of this type of model application in anthropology, based on system theory definitions. The cybernetic model is based on the idea that the usage of a simple concept of the logistic model can provide an estimation of the migration characteristics of the island of Hvar. High emigration rate from the island is associated with the increase of potential risk on anthroplogical fitness for some settlements on the island of Hvar.
