Sinteza i bojadisarska svojstva novih azo bojila

Azo dyes are the largest group of colorants, not only as textile colorants, but used in many other industrial fields. Replacement of aromatic diazo components with heteroaromatic ones could satisfy toxicological requirements for design of new dyes. The preparation of two acidic azo dyes derived from 6-aminobenzothiazole is described by diazotation-copulation reactions with two isomeric naphthol-3, 6-disulfonic acids. The structure of new dyes was confirmed by using spectrometric methods (IR, UV/Vis, 1H and 13C NMR). Prepared anionic dyes are water soluble and their dyeing properties were investigated on wool and polyamide fibers. The investigated dyes show a red and yellow hue on dyed textile samples. The wash fastness was performed on samples in hot and cold washing, as well as light fastness. The test results on cold wash fastness, as well as fastness to UV light showed high ratings, but washing on the higher temperature showed changes in lightness and chromaticity.
