Generation of beams by aperture field spectra

A method of calculating aperture radiated fields via two types of complex conical beams is been illustrated. The beams are obtained starting from a standard spectral domain radiation integral, upon applying GPOF expansion to the angular spectral Fourier coefficients of the electric field spectrum in the aperture plane. Both types of beams are found to be very accurate for expanding the radiated field from a rectangular aperture into beams while standard expansion such as Gauss-Hermite beams provide good results only in the paraxial region.
