Analiza funkcionalnosti kretanja kod djece primjenom ˝functional movement screening˝-a

The main aim of this paper was to determine possible differences in movement functionality between 7- and 9-year-old children with the use of one Functional Movement Screen (FMS) test. A total of 30 children was involved in the research (10 girls and 20 boys), and then were divided in two groups by their age. A deep squat test was used to assess their movement result. The test proved to have good reliability (Cronbach alpha: 0.93) and sensitivity (Kolmogorov Smirnov: 0.10). T test for independent samples demonstrated significantly better results in 9-year-old participants. This result could be explained by their better joint stability than the younger children. Further research is needed on a sample of children because all FMS research were conducted on adults.
