Differences in preferences towards sport activities of female students from the University of Zagreb

The aim of this research was to establish the differences in preferences toward sport activities between female college students. The research was conducted on a sample of 255 female students from Faculty of Kinesiology (FK), Faculty of Teacher Education (FTE) and Faculty of Medicine (FM). For evaluating the preferences toward sport activities the questionnaire was applied. The questionnaire contained list of 60 sports based on the scale of behavioural aims with grades from one to five. For determining the differences within all subjects the ANOVA was used. The obtained results showed a statistically significant differences in preferences toward sports between all groups. Greatest differences were established between students of FK and FM, little less differences are recognized between participants from FK and FTE. Between FTE and FM is noticeably less statistically significant differences in preferences toward sport activities.
