Information Model of Enrolment Rates for Translations Studies Curriculum at University of Split and Zadar from 2012 to 2017

The goal of this paper is to present an information model for enrolling in translation and interpreting studies at the Universities of Split and Zadar from 2012 to 2017. The information model is based on the assumed status and presence of the translation and interpreting studies at these institutions during the observation period. The basic scientific hypothesis has been proven through the direct growth rates of the given model variables, asserting that "the enrollment in the translation and interpreting studies is affected by the synergy of the variables such as legislation framework and sub-law regulations, labour market, translation practice and technical facilities, the existing study programs and valuation of intellectual services". The information model has been used for calculating the forecast of the growth of the given variables until 2017. Their growth forecast until 2017 ranges respectively from 10 to 50 % ; however, due to the synergic relationship between the variables, the growth matrix calculation suggests the direct growth rates amounting from 25.0 to 66.7 %.
