Early gallbladder motility after Cardo-pulmonary by-pass
In the prospective cohort study 20 patients treated at surgical, and 20 patients treated at cardiosurgical ICU were studied. The patients were divided in two groups: group I (noncardiac surgery) and group II (cardiac surgery). In the both groups, enteral feeding begun on the nasogastric tube 18 hours after surgey(30/50ml/h) and ultrasonographic measurement of the gallbladder was performed 6 hours after start of the enteral feeding. The volume of the gallbladder in the group I amounted 43, 8 ml. In the control grou II it was insignificantly higher i.e. 59, 1 ml (p=NS). Cardiopulmornary by-pass influence but not significantly the motility of the gallbladder whic is stimulated by early enteral feeding.
