Combustion process could be influenced by the control of combustion parameters and combustion equipment fitting. Measure for reduction of one of the pollutants could have an adverse effect on the emission of the others. Analysis of combustion process parameters and burner characteristics should include their influence on all significant pollutants and combustion process efficiency. The study case of an retrofitted heavy oil-fired steam generator furnace was done using the commercial CFD code with user function developed that enable SO3 modelling.
