Leadership and Communication in Corporate Governance

In the system of governance of sustainable corporations assumingly led by leaders who share the following perspectives: sustainable entrepreneurship, therefore visionary and long term perspective of sustainable business and responsible leadership, therefore ethical and inclusive perspective and enlightened statesman’s ship in societal and political perspective, all this inspired by the reflective awareness of a universal perspective, the operational model of effective communication would need to rely on the so called «building belief model» of organizational communication which has two dimensions, each grounded in the creation of shared belief. One dimension is the definition and activation of corporate character as stipulated in the structures and processes of corporate governance and authentic leadership model and the other is building of advocacy at scale. This authentic advocacy is based on shared belief which leads to confidente and action and this leads back to advocacy. Thus, responsible authentic leadership and building belief corporate communication model frame the area of corporate governance realisation and development of its principal dimensions in the context of corporate responsibility and sustainability and serve as two main thrusts for future research of leadership in corporate governance context. The paper aims to draft a conceptual framework for future research of roles of leadership and communication in the development of effective corporate governance. As corporate governance is now indissolubly related to the concepts of corporate responsibility, accountability and sustainability, these increasingly important aspects of organisational behaviour and triple bottom line impact, signify the context in which leadership and communication act as two main bars in creating values not only for shareholders but also for other stakeholders and society at large.
