Reliability of the Serbian version of the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) for elderly people
The aim of this study was to determine test- retest reliability of Intenational Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) for elderly people in Serbia. Six hundred sixty elderly people (352 men - 54% and 308 women - 46%, mean age 67.65±5.76 years) participated in this study. To examine test–retest reliability, the participants were asked to complete the IPAQ twice, 2 weeks apart. Moderate reliability was observed between the repeated IPAQ, with intraclass correlation coefficients (ICC) ranging from 0.45 to 0.89. Our study shows that the IPAQ is adequately reliable for assessing physical activity and that it may be a useful instrument for generating internationally comparable data on physical activity in this population.
