The Typology of Characters in Audrey Hepburn's Films
The typology of characters in Hepburn’s films varies, but they all construct a meaning of a female star and the representation of female sexuality in American films. In every one of her films, Hepburn gives a special contribution and brings a certain European spirit. Hepburn fits into the profile of aristocratic characters that combine wit and charm. The thesis tries to analyze the typology of characters that Hepburn played and emphasize the influence and impact she left on the audience, especially on women. Hepburn took on entirely different roles, ranging from portraying an incognito princess to impersonating an enigmatic party girl, so to show the variety of characters a special attention will be paid to six Hepburn's films: Roman Holiday, Funny Face, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Sabrina, How to Steal a Million and Wait Until Dark.
