Dimensional control of complex geometry objects using 3d scanning technology

In this paper, the procedure of 3D scanning of turbine blade using structured light method is described. Dimensional control is conducted comparing 3D scan with CAD model of the object. Conducted processes of 3D scanning and measurements show advantages over traditional measurement techniques using coordinate measurement machines, in respect to time usage, amount of collected data and flexibility of the measurements.
