Conductance studies of NaCl, KCl, NaBr, KBr, Bu4NBr, and NaBPh4 in water + 2-methoxyethanol mixtures at 298.15 K
The electrical conductance of the solutions of sodium chloride (NaCl), potassium chloride (KCl), sodium bromide (NaBr), potassium bromide (KBr), tetrabutylammonium bromide (Bu4NBr) and sodium tetraphenylborate (NaBPh4) in water + 2-methoxyethanol binary mixtures at T = 298.15 K have been reported. The experimental data of conductance have been analyzed on the base of low concentration chemical model (lcCM). The individual ionic conductivities of Na+, K+, Bu4N+, Cl-, Br- and BPh4- ions have been determined using the Fuoss – Hirsch assumption. The dependencies of the values of limiting molar conductance, limiting ionic conductance of the individual anions and Walden products as a function of composition of water + 2-methoxyethanol binary mixtures have been discussed.
