Effects of the retentions in a karst subsurface to hydrographs of the river Cetina in Croatia
The river Cetina is situated in bare Dinaric karst in Croatia. The largest amount of water gets into its bed from a karst subsurface and the smaller amount from a surface inflow. In the paper specific gelogical and hydrogeologial conditions in the drainage basin of Cetina are described. Characteristic hydrographs of large hydrographs in the profile of the dam Peruća on Cetina have been presented and their rising limbs and recesion times analysed. On the hydrographs analysed it was shawn that, due to the retention effect of the subsurface, the time of recession lasts significantly longer than according to general theoretical formula (Linsleys formula).
