Comparison of Isothermal and Adiabatic Approach to Stirling Motor
As early as 1908 professor Rankine in London pointed out : "... the heating and cooling not taking place exactly at constant volumes, nor the expansion and compression exactly at constant temperatures...". A more deeper analyses draws a parallel between constant temperatures, that mean isothermal process, and constant entropies, which mean adiabatic process. On the basis of experimental data, indicator diagrams of a, b and g-type Stirling engines are mutually compared.
