Court Interpreters in Croatia and Implementation of Directive 2010/64

On 20 October 2010, the European Parliament and the Council adopted Directive 2010/64 on the right to interpretation and translation in criminal proceedings. The implementation of the Directive 2010/64/EU is the result of the rising demand for court interpreting and its meeting certain minimum standards throughout the EU. The implementation of this Directive has bearing not just on court interpreters and their associations, but also on Member States, legal professionals, training institutions and trainers.
