PLANNING GEOTHERMAL POTENTIAL WITH MULTI-CRITERIA APPROACHES
Energy planning problems are complex problems with multiple decision makers and multiple criteria. This article demonstrate the application of decision making methods developed in operational research for the optimum exploitation of geothermal resources. In planning, designing and evaluating geothermal energy project, a number technical, economic, social, environmental parameters should be considered. It is observed that Analytical Hierarchy Process is the most popular technique followed by outranking techniques PROMETHEE, ELECTRE and TOPSIS.
