In geodetic control networks the measurements can be very much exposed to unfavourable influences leading to systematic errors. Therefore, the realization of optimum weights of measured quantities is rather indefinite. Inadequate weights of measured quantities have then a remarkable influence onto the unknown parameters (e.g. corrections of measurements).
