Modelling of Emissions of Integrated Circuits for EMC Simulations
Thesis begins with the overview of available options for modeling the EMC problems and LECCS model is chosen for applying the measurement derived method. By the means of measured emissions and output impedance, model is created and tested with various loads. Circuit simulations are used to validate the theory and assess the possible problems without the interferences found in real measurements. Non linearity problems are assessed and discussed. Various methods for measuring the emissions and the impedance are proposed and benefits and problems of each method are shown. Near field probe measurement is pursued as it can be used on any device with relative simple application. Device specifically used in this thesis is extensively measured and characterized. Non linear behavior is observed as well as the high cross coupling between the integrated buffers. At the end, further work is proposed as results are promising for future application.
