Prostatitis – characteristics and modes of treatment

The paper presents major characteristics of inflammatory processe in prostate, with special reference to chronic types of inflammation. Experiences with asymptomatic types of bacterial and nonbacterial chronic prostatitis are described, which are especially important in younger age, since the same processes may cuse infertility. Modern diagnostical methods and treatment guidelines are presented, especially those referring to chronicprostatitis.
