Spontaneous disappearance of a Hürthle cell tumor of the thyroid following fine needle aspiration
A case is presented of a 41-year-old woman with a Hürthle cell tumor diagnosed by ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB), which disappeared two months following FNAB without any treatment. The possible explanation for the tumor disappearance is necrosis due to compromised vascular supply as the result of FNAB.
