Educational Perspective of Physical Education

Physical exercise and sports are an integral part of the educational system in Croatia. Under terms of physical exercise and sports in the educational system entails the compulsory teaching of physical education (Physical Education) and extra-curricular sports activities. Teaching physical education belong to the regular and elective courses. Regular classes are conducted in accordance with the prescribed curriculum. In everyday practice, the elective courses of physical education and virtually no conducted. Hence the importance of conducting extra-curricular sports activities of students is extremely high. The role of physical education in primary education has great potential. Already, in itself definition we can find a component of the goals of social responsibility, critical thinking, moral guidelines, which are important components that make up the future of active citizens. The correlation of educational and training components of the education system implies their reciprocal dependence. The moral effect of education depends on the value orientation of people where it is genetically and culturally conditioned. The contribution of physical education and sport is based on accountability, not only personal but also social. It is a great potential of today's citizens, it is important to recognize the social and moral education guidelines, analyze, and integrate them into daily life. The educational component is irreplaceable and it is necessary, along with quality programs, providing sufficient time for adequate exercise. Only a stronger engagement of all actors in the system in the near future will be allowed to each child's regular sporting activities in the school sports associations, especially the children out of school sports are not active, allowing unimpeded growth and development of the whole person 21st century.
