Algorithm for Fast Determination of LiFePO4 Battery Nominal Current

Experimental tests performed on LiFePO4 power cell batteries show recognizable behavior of battery terminal voltage in relation to input current. Thus, conclusions of number of battery cells and their nominal current can be made. A LiFePO4 battery nominal current determination algorithm has been proposed. Determined nominal current is used as initial condition for adjusting the pulse charge algorithm. Pulse charge algorithm must be developed in such a way to adapt its initial parameters during charging process according to new data obtained out of constant measurements.
