FIBRE REINFORCED SCC CONCRETE WITH RECYCLED FIBRES
Up to date research on innovative low cost hybrid fibre reinforced concrete, prepared with a mixture of industrial and recycled steel fibres, showed that, by simultaneous use of two types of fibres obtained composites are technologically interesting alternative to the conventional fibre reinforced concretes. In this paper, research beyond state of the art is presented showing that additional improvement of such innovative low cost hybrids can be obtained by replacing ordinary concrete matrix with self-compacting whose rheological properties assure enhanced behaviour. Six concrete mixtures were prepared and tested ; two ordinary FRC mixtures and four self-compacting FRC mixtures with different fibre ratios (industrial/recycled steel fibres). Presented results encompass following: compressive strength, tensile splitting strength and toughness behaviour all at age of 28 days.
self compacting concrete; fibre reinforced concrete; recycled steel fibres
