Faking on personality questionnaries: the effects of situation and instruction on EPQ responses
The paper reports on the possibility of dissimulation of subject's responses on personality qurstionnaries. The authors present the study in which they examined the effect of selection situation on EPQ using different instruction.They compare whether more truthful answers are given after so called honesty instruction or after the standard, neutral, instruction. The results indicate that dissimulation effects that are usually not detectable with EPQ lie scale may occur ubder honesty instruction.
