Ground water management in the karstic zones in Croatia
The paper, on the example of Croatia where karst covers about 25, 790 sq. km of its mainland part (about 45 percent of its entire territory ), analyzes the problem of water management of karst water resources. In the context of existing experience and knowledge achieved in the area of the Croatian karst, the types were analyzed of possible pollution of ground water in the karst, vulnerability of karst aquifers, as well as the required actions in water management and land management policies in order to minimize the risk of such pollution.
