LEONARDO - The Off-line Programming Tool for Robotized Plants
In this paper we describe the results of the project LEONARDO which has had a goal to develop an open-architecture tool for off-line programming, dynamic simulation and performance analysis of standard 1-6 DOF configuration robots performing independently or within more complex manufacturing plants. Basic concepts, implemented functions and new technologies adopted in LEONARDO such as intelligent control algorithms, virtual reality modeling and remote access via Internet are demonstrated on a practical palettization example.
