Optimization of Double-Cage Induction Motor Using Complex Finite Element Analysis, Artificial Neural Network and Genetic Algorithm

An efficient method for double-cage induction motor optimization is presented. The basic idea of this approach is an using artificial neural network to make fast motor performances computation process. Numerical calculation of induction machine electrical parameters is based on finite element magnetic field computation process. The calculation time is significant reduced using the neural network. For the induction machine geometry optimization process is used genetic algorithm with user definable target function.
