Research Case Study in Biomedical Engineering: New Approach to Biosignal Processing

This paper is focused on highly interdisciplinary field of biomedical engineering, which combines engineering with medicine. As an example of bioengineering in practice, we presented the acquisition and digital processing of one type of biosignals – electromyography (EMG) signals. We described the development and testing of surface EMG system, which includes highly accurate bioamplifier and advanced signal processing technique based on wavelets.
