Development and validation of LC-MS/MS method for quantification of opiorphin in human saliva

Using opiorphin as a potential biomarker of different pathological states requires the development of robust and sensitive methods. We developed a highly sensitive and specific liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometric detection (LC–ESI–MS/MS) analytical method for the analysis of opiorphin in human saliva with limited sample manipulation. The analytical method for determination of opiorphin in the human saliva was also validated on the following parameters: linearity, limit of detection (LOD), lower limit of quantification (LLOQ), precision, accuracy, recovery, matrix effect and sample stability.
