ULTRASOUND AND MAGNETIC RESONANCE IMAGING IN ANTENATAL DIAGNOSIS OF SACROCOCCYGEAL TERATOMA
Sacrococcygeal teratoma (SCT) is the most common neoplasms in fetus with an incidence of 1/35, 000– 40, 000 live births. We reported a case of a newborn with antenatal diagnosis of type II sacrococcygeal teratoma. The purpose of this case is to highlight the value of timely antenatal ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging in early neonatal surgery. Early diagnosis of sacrococcygeal teratoma is extremely important as well as the team work of obstetri- cians, neonatologists and neonatal surgeons in tertiary institution.
