Cretaceous and Tertiary paleomagnetic results from Istria and NW Dinarides
The "autochtonous" Istria palemagnetic data support the existance of an Adriatic microplate rotating counterclockwise with respect to both the African and European plates, in the post-Eocene times. The "paraautochtonous" Dinaric chain may consists of three parts: Udine-Divača partand Vipava valley rotating clockwise, while southern trust sheets must rotated together with the Adriatic microplate.
