Die verschiedenen Möglichkeiten ökologisch annehmbarer Lederherstellung
The paper describes studies on leather, which was tanned with chrome-salts and, besides that, with aluminium-salts, aldehide-tanning means as well as with vegetable and synthetic tanning means. Experiments were done on raw bovine leather, in weight category of 30 kg. There where examined chemical, physical-mechanical and thermal characteristic (DSC) of finished leather. In the refuse water was defined pH, as well as Chemical and Biochemical Oxygen Demand (COD, BOD_5) and the quantity of chrome oxide. In the same time was examined the leather in different phases of process. After every single operation where registred the leather samples on the Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer, as well on the electronically microscope (REM). On the base of obtained results was deduced which tanning means, from those that was examined, give the best results, referring to ecological and quality requests.
