Sensitivity Analyses of Additive Correction Multigrid Method Applied to Furnace Modeling
In this paper the 3D mathematical model of processes in the steam generator combustion chamber has been used for investigating influence of different parameters on the combustion chamber overall performance, especially on flue gas exit temperatures. The combustion chamber of a real 1000 t/h oil-fired steam generator has been modeled in order to improve its working efficiency by applying simulation results. It has been shown that inclination of burners may be used for controlling flue gas exit temperature in a manner that negative burner angle, pointing downward lower temperatures for 50-60 °C. By changing amount of excess air which is introduced into the combustion chamber flame length can be changed which will also produce different flue gas exit temperatures. But influence is weak and this method can not be justified for controlling exit temperatures.
