The dispute between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Slovenia on the maritime delimitation is a negative example of an aspiration to comply with the rule of law inside the European Union. In addition to internal law, the rule of law also includes international law. The dispute affected negatively the relations between the two states and the European perspective and destiny of the Republic of Croatia.
