Središte na rubu - mađarska i hrvatska avangardna lirika (književno-povijesni okvir)
Antun Branko Šimić undoubtedly takes his place with the most significant poets. The uniqueness of the style of his avant-garde poetic structures is directed towards the principles of expressionist poetry. From a marginal view into Croatian Literary Science, Šimić is the first who gives a literary-theoretical image of Dadaism modeled on German Expressionism. Another representative of Dada in Croatia, Dragan Aleksić, gained his experience through another medium – the Hungarian avant-garde. The paths of Aleksić, Šimić and Kassák are visibly intertwined, and the continuation of the avant-garde movement and its impact should be sought in the area of Central Europe, between Budapest and Vienna. Providing different materials of contemporary and traditional culture the indirect shared poetics of Dragan Aleksić and Lajos Kassák are synthesized to a new value of autonomus language solutions.
