Municipal bonds - A new form of financing local public sector in Croatia

Taking into account the development of the Croatian municipal bond market, there are some macroeconomic prerequisites, regarding potentional issuers, that have to be taken into account. Croatia's municipal bond market is at an early stage of development considering the fact that there are only two examples of municipal bond issues. This article is mainly focused on two issues of Istrian County bonds. The main characteristics of these municipal bonds will be analyzed, like the purpose of the issues, the bonds type and their characteristics, secondary trading on the Croatian capital market etc.
