Vortex Filament Patterns Generated in Laser-Matter Interactions
Laser-matter interactions on nanosecond time scale. Kelvin-Helmholtz instability and generation of vortex fialments on metal targets. Ultrafst cooling and conservation of vortex filament structures. Observation of helical pairing of filaments, of the vortex filament cascade splitting, and observation of solitons on filaments. First observation of a series of loop solitons on filaments ; observation of braided and tangled filaments ; First observation of knotted and unknotted structures: vortex rings, Hopf links, trefoil knots and other complex structures in the real experiment.
