Overview and Perspectives of Renewable Energy Sources in the Danube Region in Croatia
In this paper, potential of renewable energy sources for Danube region in Croatia will be presented. Croatian Danube region consists of two counties, Vukovar-Sriem County and Osijek- Baranya County. Potential of solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, hydro energy and biomass energy for Danube region in Croatia will be shown in detail. Overview of current state of renewable energy sources usage for electricity and heat production in Croatian Danube region will be presented. Usage of solar energy, wind energy, geothermal energy, hydro energy and biomass energy for electricity generation in Croatian Danube region will be shown in detail. Also, perspectives for further development in these two counties will be presented.
