Liming and organic fertilization effect on Fe and Zn availability and alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) leaf concentration
The objective was determination of liming and organic fertilization impact on soil iron and zinc status change as well as determination of iron and zinc soil availability changes to alfalfa concentrations in leaf dry matter. Liming resulted with significant impact of micronutrients availability decrement in soil, for Fe 2, 9-4, 7%, and for Zn 2, 1-3, 3 % per t/ha of applied CaCO3.. Fertilization doses impacted on Fe and Zn concentrations significant increase in alfalfa leaf dry matter, while liming application resulted in the opposite effect of Fe leaf concentration decrease for 3, 5-7, 8%, and of Zn leaf concentration decrease for 7, 6-22, 2% with increment of lime material doses.
