Philosophy of education in University Education of elementary and kindergarten teachers

Philosophy of education is a branch of philosophy that deals with the integral and critical analysis of the educational processes. As such, it is one of the subjects in the program of higher education for elementary and kindergarten teachers. The goal is to establish how much philosophy of education via its method and content justifies its own existence in the educational program. Testing is based on the so far set theoretical basis in the relevant scientific literature, it includes the consideration of recommended and suggested literature and syllabus for the subject of the philosophy of education, followed by its own cognition derived from teaching and, finally, from results obtained by interviewing students. The above mentioned components show that the philosophy of education justifies its existence in the university education program by analyzing the terminology of Educational Sciences (primarily upbringing), by synthesizing the theoretical reach of educational sciences and critical analysis of the practical consequences of those theories for the individual and society in general, and ultimately, but not less important, the formation of critical judgment of future elementary and kindergarten teachers. It was concluded that the philosophy of education, as long as its not a dull exposition of historical and philosophical theories about education, but other (in certain aspect value) the) permanent incorporation of these theories into actual achievements of educational sciences to enable optimal functioning of the whole society and each individual in it, has its place in higher education of elementary and kindergarten teachers.

Filozofija odgoja je filozofska disciplina koja se bavi cjelovitim i kritičkim promišljanjem odgoja. Kao takva, ona je jedan od subjekata u programu visokog obrazovanja odgojitelja i učitelja. Naš cilj je utvrditi koliko filozofija odgoja svojom metodom i sadržajem opravdava svoje postojanje u visokoškolskom obrazovnom programu. Istraživanje se temelji na dosad postignutim teorijskim osnovama u relevantnoj znanstvenoj literaturi, što uključuje analiziranje preporučene i obvezne literature i programa za kolegij filozofije odgoja, zatim vlastite spoznaje proistekle iz nastave i, konačno, analizu rezultata dobijenih iz istraživanja mišljenja studenata. Navedene komponente pokazuju da filozofija odgoja opravdava svoje postojanje u sveučilišnom programu i da je njezin zadatak analizirati terminologiju odgojnih znanosti (prvenstveno odgoj), sintetizirati teorijski doseg odgojnih znanosti i kritički analizirati praktične posljedice tih teorija kako za pojedinca tako i društvo u cjelini, te konačno, ali ne manje važno, formirati kritički odnos prema stvarnosti budućih učitelja i odgojitelja.
