Posttraumatic stress disorder among breast cancer patients receiving chemotherapy
The traumatic event may cause responses of extreme fear, helplessness or horor end because the cancer experience involves some money upseting events it can be speciafic trauma that triggers PTSD. Aim of study is to investigate weather women with breast cancer during chemohterapy develop PTSD. Sample consisted of 30 women with breast cancer created on Department for Oncology on Clinical Hospital Osijek including criteria were: female, age 18- 65 years, newly diagnosed breast cancer, absence of other physical diseases, no history or presence of psycothic disorders, at least primary school, adequate verbal contact, signed in formed consent for the patient. Results:chemotherapy influence development of PTSD in women with breast cancer.
