Impacts that are contributing to a gap between designed and achieved energy savings in buildings.
This paper gives a literature overview of the research findings analysis of the different impacts on the energy dissipation in the buildings. In general, these influences can be divided into two groups, technical one and behavioural one. In this paper both of these groups of impacts have been analysed and finally, a concept of the novel evaluation methodology for buildings have been briefly introduced. This new approach is based on the introduction of the energy efficiency building dissipation rate (EFBDR), which includes both groups of previously mentioned impacts where final goal is to determine in advance a gap between designed and achieved energy savings. Other purpose of the EFBDR could be if it is used as one of the criteria for economic evaluation of the targeted investments in the energy efficiency projects in buildings (decision tool).
