Thermo-mechanical multiscale modeling in plasticity of metals
This paper deals with thermoplastic multiscale modeling in the framework of small strains plasticity theory using first order computational homogenization technique. The concept of the analysis done at the micro and macro level is based on coupling of state variables between the scales. Global periodicity assumption of the micro level imposed the definition of the representative volume element (RVE) and the formulation of the boundary value problem (BVP). BVP at micro level has to be solved in order to give the constitutive relationship between stress and strain in each integration point of the macro level model. The tangent stiffness operator is formulated using static reduction method based on condensation of the micro level properties. Coupled thermo-mechanical analysis at the macro level it is done simultaneously using different numerical algorithms. The numerical procedure is developed for two-dimensional problems and it is verified on one example.
