The relationship between school conduct and swimming performance of high school students
We have attempted to show the existence of a relationship between the swimming performance of students and their school conduct. Tests were conducted on a sample of 101 first year students from Sisak Vocation School during a four year period. The 25 and 50 meters freestyle and 25 m backstroke techniques were used for the comparison, as well as exemplary, good and poor school conduct. A multivariate analysis of variance showed significant differences and students with exemplary conduct, had better results in all 3 motor tests. Therefore, we can conclude that school conduct has a significant impact on swimming performance as the activity requires certain knowledge that depends on better conduct.
