Labour productivity in the European Union: Forecasting future trends
Labour productivity is the main source of competitiveness and economic growth of a country. In the paper labour productivity in the European Union member states in period from 1990 to 2015 is observed. The conducted outlier analysis has shown that there is no European Union member states which labour productivity development level are significantly different from the other member states. The selected the most accurate forecasting methods have shown that labour productivity per employee would increase by rate of 1.04% per year and that labour productivity per hour worked would increase by 0.32 US$ per year in the following periods.
