THE SIMULATION OF KNITTING PROCESS BY DIMENSIONAL ANALYSIS
Using the dimensional analysis it is now possible to predict without knitting, for example, fabric weight and yarn twist for a known yarn count and loop length. This procedure shows also how multitudinous parameters participating in the knitting process can be grouped together by means of dimensional analysis. In this way there is no need whatsoever to measure one by one all values in the process which makes the very research work simpler. This is by all means one of solutions which leads us to a quality knitting product. Finally, I would like to point out that we should make a new effort to achieve a full satisfactory result by using dimensional analysis during the knitting process in the future.
