Magnetic flux inhomogeneity in ceramic YBa2Cu3O7-delta superconductors studied by EPR

Local magnetic flux density on the surface of a ceramic YBa2Cu3O7-delta sample was measured by electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) probes. We find that the inhomogeneity of the flux is due primarily to the granular nature of the sample, rather than to the flux lattice. The present findings have to be considered when the evaluations of the penetration depth in ceramic superconductors are made by mu+SR, NMR and EPR.
