Single-particle and collective electrical transport in Bechgaard salts
We have performed the experimental study of some physical properties of the spin density wave (SDW) ground state of two members of the Bechgaard salts family, (TMTSF)_2NO_3 and (TMTSF)_2PF_6. The first one is a peculiar member, due to the aninon ordering at 45 K. The wave vector (2k_F,0,0) causes small pockets at the Fermi surface and the SDW state becomes semimetallic. The above features give interesting possibilities to study some effects of SDW which are impossible to detect in a typical SDW system (like zero-pressure SDW of (TMTSF)_2PF_6). The bad nesting property of (TMTSF)_2NO_3 gives us the possibility to measure the influence of thr magnetic field on the phase coherence length in the SDW material. We have shown that the magnetic field increases the electric treshold field for the non-ohmic electrical transport in the SDW state. This is interpreted in terms of the reduction of the phase-coherence length in magnetic field.
