Marketing organization problems in the transition conditions in Croatia
The Republic of Croatia is one of the countries behind the iron curtain that is, in spite of the consequences of war, in the middle of the intensive process of transition. This process refers particularly to the recent changes aimed at the establishing of a modern market economy. In that respect, marketing can be regarded as a means of transition, especially of that part of the transition directed towards the restructuring of the economy by finding out marketable and profitable production lines that should be as quickly as possible put into the function of general economic development through the process of privatization. Marketing should also contribute to the shortening of the period of transition in all three of its most important areas (proprietary, market and political), as well as to the creation of a distinctive economic identity of Croatia.
